You can also transfer airtime to your family and friends who also use the Airtel network via a simple text message.

You can transfer any amount between N1000 to N5000 up to five times in one day.

The amount of Airtime transferred will be deducted from the sender’s account only after the transaction has been successful.

To transfer Airtime, simply send a text message to 321 in the following format: 2U(space)PhoneNumber(space)Amount(space)PIN.

For instance, to transfer N100 worth of airtime to the number 08020000000.

The text will read: 2U 08020000000 100 1234

You will then receive an SMS confirmation from 321 that reads “you have transferred 100 to 08020000000.”

The person receiving the transfer will also receive an SMS confirmation from 321 that will read:

“you have just received N100 from 08020000000”

If you are still using the default PIN, you can change to a new PIN.

To change the default Airtime Transfer PIN, send a text message to 321 in the following format: PIN(space)DefaultPIN(space)NewPIN.

For example: PIN 1234 8088

You will then receive an SMS confirmation from 321 that reads:

“your code has been successfully
changed, the new code is 8088.”

Remember, you can only send airtime to people on the Airtel network.
